The photo below shows the standard format in which forensic pathologist perform autopsy's on human bodies. As marked, Baden indicated the areas where Brown was shot. Being that this was a preliminary autopsy, there is still information that the public does not know about other findings outside of Brown's gunshot wounds. What we do know is that he was hit four times in his right arm and twice to his head. One of the four shots to the right arm is to the palm of his hand as well as one to the side of his arm which could be used as critical pieces of evidence in the way in which his arms were positioned when he was shot.
The two most devastating shots that are assumed to have ended Brown's life are the ones to his head. The shot entering the top of his skull was said by the forensic pathologist in the press conference to have entered while Michael was in a downwards position, possibly tumbling to the ground. The bullet entered the top of his head and exited through his right eye. The second shot to his head entered his right jaw area, came out through his neck and entered the right side of his chest.
This autopsy provided key information and a better insight as to how Michael Brown was killed execution style by 28 year old Ferguson, MO officer Darren Wilson. Dr. Baden also admitted that the forensic evidence he obtained from Brown's body was consistent with the eye witness accounts. With little information being disclosed to Brown's parent's it was only right for them to have a second autopsy done on their child. This week the Federal government will conduct a third autopsy on Brown's body for their investigation. Unfortunately with everything that has been going in Ferguson as a result of Brown's death along with the multiple autopsy's, the family has not been able to lay their loved one to rest yet.
Michael Brown's mother Lesely McSpadden had three questions to forensic pathologist Dr. Baden after performing an autopsy on her son. These questions were:
- How many times was he shot? (6 times)
- Was he in pain? (According to Dr. Baden, Mike Brown did not suffer any pain from the gunshots. Possibly due to his body going into shock and the quickness of the incident. The gunshot to the head is assumed to have immediately killed her son)
- What else do we have to do to get the officer who did this arrested? (No answer)
