Dr. Dre's 3 billion dollar deal with Apple selling Beats has been circulating the internet for weeks now. The 9 figure deal has made Dre the highest paid in the hip hop industry, with a large gap wedged between him and his competitors, Jay Z and Diddy, who are tied in second place earning 60 million dollars each.
Dre's pretax 620 million dollars is more than the combined earnings of his 24 competitors on the 2014 Hip Hop Cash Kings list. Not to mention, Dre's annual income for 2014 is the highest annual total of any entertainer listed in Forbes. Needless to say this has been a productive year for Dr. Dre, I'm sure his peers will be working even harder in 2015 to knock him out of his spot.
