Why J.Cole's 'A Dollar And A Dream Tour' Was The Best Concert This Summer

J.Cole wrapped his "A Dollar And A Dream Tour" just almost two weeks ago in Los Angeles, California. In celebration of the 5th year anniversary of his first major mixtape The Warm Up, Cole hit a six-city tour performing for 90 minutes of his classic mixtape as well as some of his fan favorites. While many fans did not get a chance to attend the concert, the "A Dollar And A Dream Tour" was one of the best tours of the summer to attend and here's why:

It Only Cost $1 To Get In
You read correctly, the concert was only $1 to enter. While fans spent their last on buying expensive tickets from other tours this summer such as Beyonce and Roc Nation CEO, Jay-Z's "On The Run Tour," fans were excited to see Roc Nation artist J.Cole himself without breaking the bank in an intimate setting and still getting a good show. The downfall was, fans waited all day in super long lines in the heat to get a wrist band to be admitted into the venue.

You Never Know Who's Going To Show Up
Although you paid $1 to get in, you got more than a dollar's worth. J.Cole had a few of his buddies help give his special fans the best for their time and money.Fans were surprised with appearances from Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Mack Wilds and Trey Songz throughout the tour. Cole also had a few of his celebrity friends come out and support the show as well.

Team Work Makes The Dream Work
It's not often you find a crew that sees and believes in your vision and is willing to put in just as much work as you to make it happen. The entire Dreamville crew Bas, Omen, Cozz and Cole, the production staff, band, management, etc. worked together to make the "A Dollar And A Dream Tour" a success every night. The crew worked hard together to make sure Cole was able to not just one show but two back to back shows at each location. The Dreamville crew wanted to make sure all of the fans who waited hours in line were accommodated and got to see the J.Cole perform. If you've ever met J.Cole or anyone from his crew, you know they treat you like family so entertaining the fans came first.

Dreams Are Worth More Than Money
 J. Cole has dedicated his entire career to making his dreams come true as well as impacting others to do the same. Coming from a small town in North Carolina, J. Cole took it upon himself to create better opportunities for himself. His career has not always symbolized quanity in numbers at a first thought, but that is why he is one of the most unique artist out today. His music will always give you quality before quantity.

J. Cole performed two shows back to back in almost every city on the tour and did not get paid from it! The tour was simply to celebrate, touch the dreamers, and continue to silently make histroy. His less flashy image and distance from the media sometimes make J. Cole seem irrelevant to some, when he isn't promoting his music. He's always working, but understand his strategy is smart. The majority of his peers in the rap industry who are hot now, probably won't be around for years to come because they've exhausted all their potential out at once. On the other hand, J. Cole is one of the few artist that show dreams are worth more than money. To perform for thousands of people, to only charge them $1, to treat them like family and to walk away with a pocket full of satisfaction and not money... is priceless.
