On Sunday, September 14th, fans travelled to Camden, London in order to witness the unveiling of the life-size statue of the late Amy Winehouse sculpted by Scott Eaton. Winehouse died in 2011 due to alcohol poisoning at the age of 27. The date of the unveiling would have marked Winehouse's 31st birthday.
The statue embodies the attitude of Winehouse and features her most trademark looks like her infamous hairstyle, mole and winged liner. Mitch Winehouse, the father, mentioned Camden being one of Amy's favorite places, which explains the location of the statue. The "Rehab" singer will be missed, but at least her fans now have something tangible they can visit.
