Ray Rice is not the only football player who has been in the media lately. Minnesota Vikings player, Adrian Peterson, has been facing his own share of negative publicity. On September 12, 2014, Peterson was indicted on terms of negligent injury to a child and was suspended from one game by the Vikings.
Peterson turned himself in, was released on a $15,000 bond and is currently waiting for his preliminary court hearing which is set for October 8th. Peterson left to take care of his personal and legal issues.
Since the incident, many of Peterson's endorsements have withdrawn, such as Castrol. The Radisson hotel chain suspended its sponsorship with the Minnesota Vikings so that they could evaluate the facts and circumstances. His All Day Foundation was taken offline for the time being because of the many calls from gossip sites. Nike, however, has chosen to stand by their athlete for the time being.
Peterson will have to remain away from all team activities and will not play for the Minnesota Vikings until his legal issues are resolved.
