Topshop is a London based company that specializes in trendy looks. Now, Queen Bey is helping to create a brand new line of active wear inspired by Beyonce's active lifestyle. The partnership has been in the works since February and has recently been announced.
A press release reads:
The brand will encompass clothing, footwear and accessories across dance, fitness and sports categories ensuring a dynamic fusion of fashion with the highest levels of technical performance. The global distribution platform will include TOPSHOP stores and topshop.com, with many existing and new partnerships also to be explored.
The collection is targeted towards women and ranges from dance and fitness to sport categories. The line will offer styles that for women who want to look comfortable and casual.
According to Sir Philip Green, the company has "been looking at this category as fashion inspired fitness develops, and know that this is right in our customers' heartland." He went on to say that Beyoncé is the perfect person for this project because she "spends many hours of her life dancing, rehearsing and training."
“This not a collaboration. This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office,” Topshop owner Sir Philip Green told Women’s Wear Daily in an interview on Oct. 27.
The brand is currently still working on a name, but is set to release in the Fall of 2015.
