North Carolina's own J.Cole is taking it back to his hometown of Fayetteville, NC for his new album 2014 Forest Hill Drive. Unlike many rappers, Cole is rather humble, not super flashy, not thirsty for the cameras, just a guy with a dream. He admitted that earlier in his career, he lost a piece of himself trying to live the Hollywood lifestyle but was quickly brought back to reality. This weekend, he came out of hibernation to announce his new album 2014 Forest Hill Drive, the address to the house he began rapping in at the age of 13.
J. Cole has decided to drop the album December 9th without any singles or hard promo. Cole admitted that 2014 Forest Hill Drive is the only house he has ever owned. The house purchased by his mother as child, was foreclosed and has now been repurchased by him. Along with the announcement of his new album, J. Cole has released a 7-minute trailer to correspond. In the trailer, he takes you on a tour of where he's from, some of his old hobbies, and thoughts on his place in life right now. Its been a over year since the release of J.Cole's latest album Born Sinner and three years since he dropped his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. We're sure this one will be another classic Cole album.
