On January 20th, President Barack Obama delivered an annual State of the Union address to Congress. Obama's 70-minute long speech touched upon a lot of things and then some.
President Obama's address focused mostly on immigration reform. He made some references about the LGBT community and tax increases on the wealthy. Obama touched very briefly on unemployment rate, troops, education, gun control, in light of the events that transpired in Ferguson specifically, campaign finance reforms, and health care reforms. His speech of course received praised from the Democrat party, but was dismissed by Republicans. The Republican party seemed to tune out Obama's speech, but when he addressed the fact his political campaigning days were over, the Republicans applauded. Obama then threw a subtle snub stating ""I know because I won both of 'em", which caused the Democratic party to erupt with applause and laughter and social media accounts to "turn up".
President Barak Obama has fostered change during his time in office and is still working on making as much changes as he possibly can before his term is over.
