Remember the $150,000 pearl studded, Calvin Klein dress Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o slayed in at this year's Academy Awards show?  The dress was stolen from the actress's room and has been reported to be recovered.

On February 26th, Lupita Nyong'o reported that the dress she wore at this year's 87th Academy Awards show was stolen from her West Hollywood hotel room the night before.  The dress was a custom-made gown designed by Calvin Klein.  It was laced with 6,000 pearls on silk material and it was worth a whopping $150,000!  It has been reported that the thief contacted TMZ to tell the the whereabouts of the missing dress.  It was to be later found in a garment bag under a sink in the hotel where Nyong'o stayed at for the awards show.  He also revealed to TMZ that his motive was to prove to Hollywood that the pearls on Lupita Nyong'o's dress were fake.

TMZ reported the call to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.  The department has been working with Calvin Klein to determine if the dress founded was actually the one hand-made for the actress, which it was.  No one from Nyong'o's camp or Calvin Klein's has addressed the fact surrounding the pearls authenticity.  Nyong'o has expressed her gratitude for the safe recovery of the dress and has stated to Women's Wear Daily that "It's a timeless and priceless piece of art".

Calvin Klein has not pressed charges on the thief. CASE CLOSED
