"Spinnin' while my hands up" or tennis racket in this case! Tennis-star, Serena Williams, took a shot at recreating Beyonce's "7/11" and let's just say that after Beyonce's video of course, Serena's video is hands down a new fan favorite!
Serena Williams shot the video using only a GoPro, which is a versatile camera that does everything from taking photos to shooting high quality videos. The video was shot at BallenIsles Country Club in Florida. The video includes features from her squad and her adorable Yorkie, Chip. Serena is seen to be channeling her inner 'Yonce' by "smackin' [tennis balls] in the air", flexing her muscles, riding around in a golf cart with Chip, and other things, but with a twist! If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out below:
BTW (By the way), did you know Serena Williams became the first African-American female athlete to ever grace the cover of Vogue solo? *gasps* In Vogue's April issue, Williams opens up about the pressures of being who she is, a top ranked tennis champ, and how it affects her. She stated the following in her interview with Vogue: "It's hard and lonely at the top, that's why it's so fun to have Caroline and my sister, too. You're a target when you're number one. Everyone wants to beat you. Everyone talks behind your back, and you get a lot more criticism. God forbid I lose. It's like ‘Why?' Well, I am human." The issue became available on March 25th, so make sure if you see the issue on news stands and in stores, to grab a copy! Check out the front cover below:
