NFL Quarterback Cam Newton Graduates from Auburn University

It's not too often you see young athletes return to school to pursue their degrees within their first few years of making it in the professional league. That wasn't the case for NFL Quarterback Cam Netwon. During his off seasons since entering the league in 2012, he's committed himself to going back to his college Aubrun University to pursue his degree in Sociology.
“I think sociology has done so much great for me in understanding people and different attitudes, hopefully that pays dividends in the long run.” Through all of his challenges on and off the field, and attending three schools before being drafted into the NFL, Cam always made sure to keep his priorities in line. He's often spoken about keeping a promise to his parents, mainly his mother to finish what he started. With graduation season in full effect, Cam officially became a college graduate, earning his degree from Auburn. 

He made the decision not to walk at graduation to take away from other students in his graduating class. Being able to post his diploma in his mother's hand, meant more to him that partaking in the ceremony. In the same weekend celebrating completing college, Cam Newton also celebrated his 26th birthday. 

The popular Carolina Panther's quarterback keeps himself busy with his many endevaors during off season such as his 7-on-7 teen football tournament, endorsement deals with companies like Under Armour & Beats By Dre, Made By Cam Newton clothing line and most importantly preparing for another NFL season. Congrats Cam on all of your recent success!
