Upcoming Rapper and Coke Boy Affiliate, 'Chinx Drugs', Gone Too Soon

"I'll change the game by being myself and perfecting my craft. I say so because in every "real" individual there's a real story so if you're dedicated to what you do enough, it will show and eventually the game will gravitate towards you and everything you stand for"-Chinx. On May 17th, Lionel Pickens aka Chinx Drugs life was taken too soon.

Lionel Pickens aka 'Chinx Drugs' was an upcoming rapper under French Montana's record label, Coke Boys Records.  He was born and raised in Queens, NY (the neighborhood of Far Rockaway). Surrounded by poverty, drugs, and violence, Chinx sought to music as an outlet to express the lifestyle he lived due to his surroundings. Early on in his career, Chinx and Stack Bundles, former Dip Set Byrdgang member (who lost his life in 2007 due to gun violence), formed Riot Squad, which was a rap group that included the two late rappers, Bynoe, and Cau2g's. While incarcerated, Chinx realized that he wanted to Stack's legacy alive and change his way of life in order to make an impact in the music world.  After being released, joined Coke Boys and soon released many mix tapes and hits such as "I'm a Coke Boy" and "Feelings".  On May 17th, Chinx's goal to create his own musical legacy was cut short.

At around 4 am on May 17th in Queens, NY, NYPD was called to Queens Boulevard and 84th Drive, where they found Chinx and the passenger, Antar Alziadi, shot multiple times in Chinx's Porsche. Chinx was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital and Alziadi remains in a critical, yet stable condition.
