Big Sean has been on a roll with new video releases from his third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise. He recently just released a new video for "Play No Games", which takes fans back to the glory days of the 90's and gives fans the opportunity to relive the 90's sitcom show, Martin. We all loved watching the quarrels between Pam and Martin, Sheneneh's signature "Oh my goodnesss", Bro Man climbing into Martin's apartment from the window escape to "borrow" something, Gina and Martin's relationship, etc. I couldn't think of a better way to relive favorite episodes from the show (besides watching reruns), than with a music video!
Fans were first introduced to Martin on August 27th, 1992. There, the world was introduced to the lives of Martin Payne, a radio and television personality based in Detroit, Gina Waters, his girlfriend, and their three best friends: "loud-mouth and sassy" Pam, "always broke" Tommy, and "not so sharp" Cole. Fans were also introduced to other characters such as Sheneneh, Bro Man, Jerome the security guard, Martin's mom, etc. Throughout the years, fans watched the characters lives unfold and evolve. The sitcom had a long successful run of 132 episodes until the final air of the last episode on May 1st, 1997.
The sitcom inspired Big Sean to recreate it as a music video for "Play No Games". The song is a about a guy not beating around the bush and wanting to establish something serious with a girl without playing no games. The video includes cameos from French Montana, Cross Colors, and Martin's very own, Martin Lawrence, ending the video with his signature "get to steppin'!". If you haven't checked the video out here, take a look at the visual below:
May this turn out to be the video of the year? Hmmm...
