January-February 2015: Kanye West broke into 2015 strong which lead the music world to believe a new album would arrive that year. Releasing what fans thought would be his first single last January to his next album, "Only One" was a song that sort of came and went.
Then, Kanye teamed up with Rihanna and Paul McCartney for her single produced and co-written by him "FourFiveSeconds," which ended up being a pretty big song. With New York Fashion Week and All Star Weekend being in the same city at the same time, was a great window of capitalization for Kanye. He jumped off the activities premiering his Yeezy Season 1 Fashion Show, showcasing products from his own personal designs along with his new partnership with Adidas. From a live stream of the fashion show, fans heard unreleased music. Later that day, he headlined the 1st Annual Roc City Classic Show in NYC for All Star Weekend, drawing more excitement for his upcoming album. Closing that weekend, Kanye performed a new single "Wolves" on Saturday Night Live with Vic Mensa and Sia.
Kanye guested on Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" where he spoke on new music and caused social media controversy after saying he had to take "30 showers" after breaking up with Amber Rose.
March 2015: Fans saw the light again once Kanye West tweeted a photo with a caption "New Album Title....So Help Me God." He followed up releasing a new single "All Day." Great track for radio and fiery award show performances, allowed "All Day" to carry Kanye through the summer.
April 2015: Kanye West announces along with several major artist he joins the Tidal team, a high quality music streaming service (aiming to benefit artist as well as subscribers) as a partner. Tidal was initially acquired from its UK owners by Jay Z and others.
In April, Kanye West covered TIME and Paper Magazine.
May 2015: Yeezy officially changes album name to SWISH, but tweets "I might change it again but that's the name now."

In August, Mr. West receives the highest "Video Vanguard Award" at MTV's 2015 VMAs. He gave a memorable 11-minute speech/rant to declare he's running for president in 2020!

December 2015: As the year came to a close, West fans had just about given up any hope that there would be an album in 2015. He found it fitting to use he and his wife's social media handles to begin communicating straight to the people, which many fans appreciated. His only social media account Twitter, would be the direct source for all things Kanye West over the next two months.

He drops a new single "Facts" New Year's Eve, a song that went to be a hit or miss on the internet, nonetheless fans were excited to receive new music.
January 2016: As the anticipation for his 7th album begins to build up again, Kim Kardashian sikes fans into believing the return of G.O.O.D Fridays are back. If you're a true Kanye fan, you'd remember G.O.O.D Fridays were a series of singles released every Friday leading to a new album. Kanye releases "Real Friends" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and gives an intro to "No More Parties In LA."
A week later he releases "No More Parties In LA" featuring Kendrick Lamar, then reveals with a tweet the release date of the album: "Swish February 11 16."
Kanye began tweeting more than ever, series of photos from the studio, random thoughts and updates to the album's tracklist.
1/26: The third change to the album comes with a tweet: "New album title, WAVES."

February 2016: Kanye West announces upcoming Yeezy Season 3 fashion show/album release during NYFW. On Feb. 2nd, Kanye states, then retracts "Waves" will be the greatest album of all time, with an apology. He gives respect to his idols and says the album will be one of the greatest. He also cleared the air, there was no bad blood between him and Wiz.
On February 9th, Ye alerts fans with a tweet; "There may be a new secret album title." The following day Kanye gives an update from the studio cutting final verses and gives final album title T.L.O.P, in addition to updates with the fashion show.
At 7:58 PM the eve of the big day, he previews the final track list and full name for new album "The Life of Pablo."Almost an hour before the major showcase at Madison Square Garden, Kanye tweets possibly his final update on the album, the cover art. The fashion show/album release will premiere at 4pm Est on Tidal, live from Madison Square Garden.
