August Alsina Releases New Video "Let Me Hit That"

You may have heard the song "I Luv It" featuring Trinidad James from newcomer August Alsina on your local radio this summer. For those who don't know, August Alsina is a new artist from New Orleans who recently signed with Def Jam. August began getting his recognition from his covers of popular songs on YouTube, which landed him and opportunity to move to Atlanta to pursue music. His story is inspiring and motivating to anyone trying to make it out of an environment that doesn't promise much to it's youth but selling drugs, jail, or death.

August, 20 has already been on tour with Kelly Rowland and The Dream, and has worked with Jazzy Pha, DJ Drama, Roscoe Dash, The Dream, Lloyd and Juelz Santana just to name a few. He's been growing a strong buzz over the past few months after dropping his mixtape The Product 2 late this Spring. He's a singer with a rappers swag, who's just trying to be in his own lane and stay true to who he is. August is definitely a cutie and the ladies love him. August seems to have a bright future ahead of him. I'm personally a fan of his music.

He teamed up with fellow New Orleans rapper Curren$y for his new single "Let Me Hit That" off of The Product 2, and off of his upcoming EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun dropping August 20th. He's also recently released a video for another song off of the EP "Downtown" featuring Kid Kid. He's doing his thing right now.
