Kanye West's 5th studio album Yeezus as gone Gold. After dropping on June 18th, the same day as J.Cole's Born Sinner, Ye took the number one spot outselling Cole in his first week. A lot of fans had mixed emotions about the record expressing they didn't like the new sound and vibes Ye gave off on the album. Personally it's not one of my favorite Kanye albums either, by hey, no one's opinion doesn't really matter to Mr. Yeezus himself (hence the album name). Kanye did not hold the number 1 spot after the first week after J.Cole's numbers spiked, and the releases of Jay Z and Wale. Kanye did manage to sell over 500,000 copies, which has been announced today that Yeezus is officially Gold. He did it without marketing, singles, tours, or an album cover, impressive. Congrats Kanye.
