2014 Oscar Nominations Are In!
Award season has everyone on their toes this time of year! The 86th Annual Academy Awards are right around the corner, which is one of the most anticipated award shows. 2013 was a year full of amazing films, breakout actors, amazing customs and music. The votes have been tallied and the 2014 Oscar Nominations are in!
American Hustle, Gravity, and 12 Years a Slave have dominated the nominations this year. American Hustle starring Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence racked in 10 nominations including "Best Picture," "Actor in a Leading Role" (Christian Bale), "Actress in a Leading Role" (Amy Adams), "Actor in a Supporting Role" (Bradley Cooper), and "Actress in a Supporting Role" (Jennifer Lawrence).
Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney tied the most nominations with American Hustle with 10 nominations. Some of the nominations included "Best Picture," "Film Editing," "Music," "Production Design," "Actress in a Leading Role" (Sandra Bullock), and "Production Design."
One of the most talked about films this past year is Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave, which brought in 9 Oscar nominations. 12 Years a Slave is nominated for "Best Picture," "Directing"(Steve McQueen), "Film Editing," "Costume Design," "Actor in a Leading Role" (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and "Actress in a Supporting Role" (Lupita Nyong'o).
