This past Saturday, hundreds of sneakerheads lined up in Midtown Manhattan for the grand opening of the Jordan Brand Flight 23 store at Footaction.
Flight 23 is the first store to sell only the Jordan Brand collection in the US. The store was a combination of Jordan sneakers and apparel. Jordan fans camped out as early as three days in the cold before the grand opening to be the first in line to cop a pair or two of sneakers from the store.
The store opened during Super Bowl weekend, which was perfect for attracting customers just blocks away from all of the Super Bowl festivities, as well as being close to Madison Square Garden where the Knicks were playing that night.
Throughout the day the store had appearances from the celebrity sneaker fans such as 50 Cent, Kevin Liles, Carmelo Anthony (whose collection is displayed in store), DJ Envy, Hakeem Nicks, Earl Thomas, CC Sabathia, and Spike Lee.
