FOX HBCU Media Alliance is a professional organization which creates opportunities and connects HBCU students, staff, falcuilty and almni who have an interest the entertainment and media industries. It also creates a platform for HBCU schools to engage and develop programs in collaboration with FOX to attract students and the community to the entertainment business.
Some of Atlanta's known media and entertainment personels attended the event at Cook Hall at the W Hotel for a evening of music, dancing, drinks, food and networking. ATL celebs such as Tameka Raymond, Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Cynthia Baliey & husband Peter Thomas, Torrei Hart, Fashion Queen's Derrick J & Ms. Lawrence, Love & Hip Hop's Shay Johnson, artist Curtis Fields, and V-103's Big Tigger showed up for a good time.
The listening party followed the Atlanta premiere of Rio 2 which hits theaters nationwide April 11th. Janelle Monáe enjoyed the company of her team, college students, and industry friend celebrating her upbeat song featured on the movie's soundtrack. She didn't sit long before she was up on the dance floor! She got down some of the hottest songs on the radio right now, such as "Happy" and "Nae Nae." Janelle will be performing "Flock Til You Drop" Wednesday on Good Morning America. See pics from the party below:
