City of Atlanta Ranks High in 2015 Newly HIV/AIDS Diagnosed Patients

Grady Hospital's emergency center in Atlanta begun a routines HIV/AIDS testing program in 2013, diagnosing 2-3 patients each day with the disease. This recent photo (seen above) represents a proportion of newly diagnosed HIV patients that have been declared having AIDS 3 months from their HIV diagnosis in Atlanta by zip code. According to the CDC in 2013, Atlanta served as one of the top 5 cities in the U.S. with the largest HIV/AIDS population. All facts you've probably heard before.

Beyond The Lights Screening Atlanta

After a long promo run, Beyond The Lights is finally in theaters nationwide. Director Gina Prince- Bythewood and cast members Nate Parker, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Machine Gun Kelly, and Danny Glover have been spotted from coast to coast hosting advanced screenings of their new film. With Atlanta being one of the country's largest markets, the city has hosted several screenings of the film over the past few months. Thursday night, ATL hosted its final VIP/Media screening of "Beyond The Ligths" at the AMC Phipps Plaza in attempt to allow some of the city's top influential people get an early look at the film.

Chris Brown & Trey Songz Announce 'Between The Sheets Tour'

R&B superstars Chris Brown and Trey Songz announced at the end of this summer they would be hitting the road together in a joint tour. Since then the two have made numerous appearances together and even dropped a couple cover songs, giving the fans a little preview of what to expect on their upcoming tour. Yesterday the two will held a live showcase and Q&A with Terrence J at the House of Blues Sunset Strip, announcing the details of their tour with Tyga. Their joint tour 'Between The Sheets' will be something super sexy for strictly the ladies.

Outkast Announces Full Lineup For #ATLast Weekend

Earlier this summer, we announced Hip-Hop duo Outkast would be holding a major concert in their hometown Atlanta, GA in celebration of the 20th anniversary year of their debut album SouthernPlaylistCadaliacMuzik. Outkast #ATLast, was originally set for Friday, September 26th at Centennial Olympic Park in heart of downtown Atlanta. After selling out of tickets in less than one hour, the group added a second show for Saturday, but that still wasn't enough for fellow Atliens. The group added a third show, officially turning Atlanta into Outkast weekend! Yesterday, the group confirmed the feature artist that will be joining them during this weekend's shows.

August Alsina Testimony Live Tour: Atlanta w/ Teyana Taylor, 2 Chainz, Sevyn Streeter, Yo Gotti, & Kirko Bangz

This weekend, August Alsina's "Testimony Live Tour" hit ATL, a special place for the New Orleans native. Taking place at the Tabernacle in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the "Testimony Live Tour" was the place to be Saturday night. Interestingly, the show took place on the eve of the Atlanta Falcon's vs. New Orleans Saints 2014-2015 NFL season opener, so there were many Saints fans in town. During the show, the Falcons/Saints rivalry was silenced, as fans were in agreeance to be there for one reason...to see August Alsina.

George has created a strong buzz surrounding his single "March" which has received heavy air play this year on R&B stations around the country. His album The Foundation brings a breath of fresh air to the music scene, channeling a variety of sounds and emotions to make a solid body of work.

Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour Hits Atlanta

Young Money artist Drake and Lil Wayne have been shutting down city to city with their "Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour." The tour hit one of the rappers' favorite cities Atlanta, turning the Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood upside down. "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" is definitely one of the hottest concerts of the summer, combining two of Hip-Hop's biggest entertainers on one stage.

2014 BET Hip-Hop Award Nominations

The 2014 Hip-Hop Awards is making its return the dirty south to gather some of the game's heavy hitters. BET's Hip-Hop Awards is hosted in the heart of downtown Atlanta, GA each year. In it's ninth year, the show is best known for hits weekend festivities, hot performances, and most of all the infamous cybers. Uncle Snoop will host this year's show for the second year in the row. Sprite is the official sponsor of the awards again this year, which means its time to roll out the green carpet for the hottest acts.

Yesterday was a busy day for the Snowman, Young Jeezy as he took over Atlanta touching the people and making press runs on the release day of his 7th studio album Seen It All. In the midst of doing interviews, meet-n-greets and showing love to the hood, Young Jeezy made it appoint to really put his money where his mouth is. His Street Dreamz Foundation donated $1 million dollars to the Jay Morrison Academy, helping future young entrepreneurs learn the real estate business.

After the "LudaDay Weekend Annual Celebrity Basketball Game" concluded, the premiere of the 90 minute documentary ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game began at the Rialto Center for the Arts. As a new intern at FARRINHEIT 411, it was quite a thrill and an honor to cover my first event. At the beginning of the star-studded premiere, the evening began with food and the red carpet. The delicious light refreshments included spinach dip filled cucumbers, mini cupcakes, ‘Luda Mix’ popcorn, and wide array of beverages. As the event progressed, the likes of Ludacris, Letoya Luckett, DJ Toomb, Larenz Tate, Dice, and many other notable people graced the red carpet for the film's premiere.

Last night Drake posted a picture to Instagram captioned " Going up on a Tuesday" soon before he dropped his verse on upcoming Atlanta artist Makonnen's song "Club Goin' Up On A Tuesday." The Sonny Digital/Metro Boomin collaboration song has been buzzing on the streets of Atlanta and the internet all the way to Drake himself. He added a colorful verse to the song not only rapping, but singing in his falsetto? The song is possibly the new Tuesday anthem.
