Psychedelic-Soul singer and musical android Janelle Monáe released the official video for her single 'Electric Lady.' The single is from the same titled second studio album, The Electric Lady, which was released last September.
In the video Janelle gets in touch with her Greek side and pays homage to sororities and fraternities in the house party-Greek explosion video. There were also many cameos from Estelle, T-Boz, Monica, Esperanza Spalding, T.I. and Kimbra. Janelle's mother and choreographer Fatima Robinson also made appearances. The video premiered Wednesday on Monáe's website and you can check it out below.
Her album The Electric Lady continues with the her previous concepts of utopian cyborg. The album experiments with different genres including funk, soul, jazz, pop-punk, soulful-ballads and even gospel! There are guest appearances by Prince, Solange, Miguel, and Esperanza Spalding.
