Yesterday morning, 90's rap group Onyx stopped by Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" to promote their new album Wakedafucup, but the interview seemed to be about everything but that! The interview went from 0 to 100 real quick between Fredro Starr & host Charlemagne.
The New York rap group consisting of three members Fredro Starr, Sticky Fingaz, and Sonny Seeza (who was absent from the interview), have been in the Hip-Hop game since the 80s. Discovered by the late Jam Master Jay, the group did not only make a name for their music, but also for their acting. Much of this generation is most familiar with member Fredro Starr for his role as Q in Moesha.
Things went sideways in the interview went Charlemagne asked Fredro Star if singer Brandy performed any sexual activity on him in the past. Fredro Starr clapped back at Charlemagne for getting jumped a while back ago in front of the Power 105.1 building. Being that Charlemagne has no filter and sometimes does not know his limit, he brought up a situation with Fredro Star and 50 Cent having beef. From there it just went south. Things got real intense! It was quite amusing might I add.
The OG's Onyx showed they are not the ones to mess with, period! The interview was not all bad though, they were able to briefly talk about their new album, their state on Hip-Hop today, and an upcoming rap battle with Keith Murray this fall in Atlanta. Watch the full interview above!
