Pantene #ShineStrong 'Not Sorry' Commercial



Pantene's #ShineStrong campaign was implemented to empower women of all ethnicities and ages. As women we often weaken our strength, falling victim to labels under sexism that take away from our opportunities and abilities to be considered strong.

I love Pantene's #ShineStrong campaign! It inspires women to be beautiful and confident and not feel compelled to apologize for everything. Too often (as seen in the commercial) women say "sorry" for the smallest things that don't deserve an apology. The #ShineStrong campaign has taken to social media asking women what being strong means to them.

Pantene played a large role in one of this year's sponsors in the BET Experience. Through social media, photo booths, t-shirts and beauty salons, Pantene engaged women who participated in this year's BET Experience to #ShineStrong through beauty, strength, and confidence.

The #ShineStrong campaign aims to enlighten women that the word sorry means much more than how we casually use it. The commercial shows how women have conditioned themselves to being "sorry" in public, at work, and home. The campaign is another aim to bring women closer together and empower one another. Ladies think before you say that 4 letter word, because most likely, you have no real reason to apologize!
