My inner comic-con geek is showing! Once I caught a glimpse of the promo for Drake and Lil Wayne's upcoming tour, I immediately understood the concept: Street Fighter! I basically grew up playing video games and watching anime (who would have known, right?), so I was excited to say the least when the duo released their video promo for the tour.
No words are spoken in the video, but you can hear the instrumental to the hit single "Believe Me" as the camera pans in and out on a cartoon, Street Fighter-esque version of Drake and Weezy. If you know anything about the Street Fighter saga, then you'd know instantly the characters the pair are giving homage.
Looks like the Sage vs Protégé (Lil Wayne vs Drake) fight is going to be pretty intense! The Drake vs Lil Wayne tour kicks off August 8th in Buffalo, NY and ending September 27th in Houston, TX. Of course the two are making a stop in San Diego, California where Comic Con 2014 is taking place, but it is long after the convention is in town.
