Tia Mowry Speaks Out On Son Cree's Hair Criticism

Celebrity children these days seem to receive as much attention as their parents whether it's good or bad. When it comes to family, the Mowry sisters are not the ones to play with! Since getting married and having children, many people have expressed their disapproval and criticism about Tia and Tamera Mowry's family. This week, the press and social media had lots to say about Tia Mowry-Hardicts son Cree. After being spotted out and about with her son this weekend, many challenged her choice in styling her son's hair the way he did.

Since Cree has been born, he has always had curly hair. Many parents decide to cut their son's hair when they hit about two or three years old. Tia and her husband Cory haven't decided to cut their two year old son's hair yet and it's nothing wrong with. Tia has recently posted pictures of her son sporting different hairstyles such as an afro, braids, and ponytails. Well people don't seem to like his hair, referencing that he looks like a little girl and is gay. Celeb babies such as Blue Ivy Carter have received such terrible comments about their hair, even having a petition started for Jay-Z and BeyoncĂ© to do their daughter's hair.

Little Cree's hair is fine. If it works for him and his parents who are we to judge? I will admit I'm not sure if I would style my sons hair in the way his pictured above, but its not my place to tell a mother to do with her child's appearance. Tia keeps Cree's hair "tamed," styled, and healthy, so as a mother don't come for her baby! She took to her social media to speak out against anyone that has anything to say about her baby's hair:
"I am proud to have a SON that embraces his natural hair :). Hair length does not define your sex. Last I checked a penis and a vagina does. Pick up a book, educate yourself, and embrace cultures outside of your own and maybe you will see that there are PLENTY of MEN wearing top knots and MEN with long hair. Here's a shout out to all the moms who have boys and girls with natural hair! Live ON!"
