The Carolina Panthers Defensive end Greg Hardy was deactivated for week two game against The Detroit Lions. Head Coach Ron Rivera announced Monday that Hardy will not be suspended by the team, although the NFL organization will continue to evaluate the situation before Hardy will be active for the Pittsburg Steelers game on next Sunday Night Football. In May of this year, Hardy was found guilty of Domestic Violence and Communicating Threats against his then girlfriend Nicole Holder. Hardy filed an appeal after the guilty verdict and the defensive end will receive a jury trial that will decide the case. This trial is scheduled to take place later this Fall in November.
