Keyshia Cole Announces New Album Date + Arrested For Assualting A Woman

 
R&B singer Keyshia Cole was arrested on Friday, September 19 for allegedly assaulting a woman. Cole and the alleged victim was in the home of her rumored boyfriend Birdman, CEO and Co-Founder of Cash Money Records according to TMZ. Eliminating the negative energy off her all of the drama in her life currently, the Oakland, CA songstress has released the date for her upcoming album Point Of No Return.

Keyshia Cole has been involved in lots of media drama lately, from her failed marriage to Daniel Gibson to her social media beefs. Some have argued that her negative attention has overshadowed her talent, which is her music. Keyshia Cole is trying not to focus on the outside world as she is preparing for a new album. Her new album Point Of New Return is set to release October 7th, with pre-sales beginning today on iTunes. Point Of New Return includes her current singles "Rick James" and "She." Over the weekend, Cole reportedly showed up to Birdman's L.A. home at 5 a.m., where she later was arrested for battery and reckless driving warrant. She saw another woman inside the home and the altercation began. According to TMZ, the woman Cole assaulted was not a "side chick," the alleged victim is Sabrina Mercadel who is an employee for Cash Money for more than a decade. Mercadel and Birdman have reportedly known each other since they were young adults.
 
Sources for the site have reported Mercadel and Cash Money CEO, were in fact not alone in the LA home but was accompanied by four other people. Following the attack, the alleged victim was taken to the ER and given pain meds. Cole was later arrested and held for $46.000 bail. Cole has not spoken publicly spoken up about the altercation. Despite the alleged altercation the night before, Keyshia was present in Atlanta this weekend for the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards to present an award.
