1. Get On Up
If you are a fan of biopics especially those that chronicle legends then this is the movie for you. Chadwick Boseman flawlessly embodies James Brown from the moves to the attitude. Unlike many biopics produced today, the Brown family supported the film, giving Boseman tips and stories to allow him to delve deeper into the character. Get On Up is still in theatres if you missed the opening weekend.
2. The Fault in Our Stars
Based on the number one best selling novel by John Green, The Fault in Our Stars, in essence is a love story between two teenagers who meet in a cancer support group. On the surface, the movie appears a bit somber, however, the core of the movie is warm, rich in hope and teaches the audience about true love. This choice is for my romantics.
3.Maleficent
It is a new day in Disney movies, the heroes, princesses and all around good doers are not the only ones getting their own movie and story line. The villains have taken claim to their right on the marquee. Maleficent chronicles the untold story of the infamous villain in the classic Sleeping Beauty. Although this movie's target audience may appear young, it is most definitely a movie for all ages and a must see.
4. Neighbors
Neighbors is a laugh out loud comedy in which Efron and Rogen play neighbors who initially are cordial, but soon the family and frat life begin to clash and tensions rise as each tries to prove their dominance within the neighborhood. This movie is rated R for a reason, so those sensitive to vulgar language and images may not enjoy this film.
5. The Amazing Spider Man 2
The Spider Man series are great hero based movies both men and women can enjoy because of the seamless blend of romanticism and action. In this particular movie, the villain was Marvel character Electro or Max Dillon, played by Jamie Foxx. This movie is for the entire family.
