"Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower"-Steve Jobs. Since being founded in 1976, Apple has gradually evolved into one of the world's top selling technology companies. Every year, Apple continues to innovate and produce new and updated products such as the iPhone, iPad, mac computers, and Apple watches that can be found in more than 55 million homes around the world. 63% of Apple users range from the ages of 18-34.  That specific age range constantly uses iTunes to stay hip to their favorite artists and music. Now, Apple is planning on a way to become the top streamed music server. In doing so, they are rumored to be in the works of snagging a few heavy hitters in the music industry such as Drake to serve as a guest DJ on iTunes Radio.

iTunes Radio is a music streaming server that was launched by Apple Inc. in 2013.  It provides 20 million users the access to listen to their favorite music and artists by generating stations catered to their likes.  The more you listen, the better iTunes is able to personalize your stations to satisfy your musical wants. Like most businesses, iTunes Radio is in competition with other servers such as Pandora, Spotify, YouTube, and Tidal to serve as the top free streaming music server in the world. In order to reach that goal, Apple Inc. is rumored to sign a $19 million deal with Toronto-rapper, Drake.  Apple is also looking to grab Pharrell Williams and David Guetta as guest DJ's for iTunes Radio.

Apple Inc. wants to offer users a free three-month trial period for iTunes.  Apple Inc. has been visiting record labels to allow Apple music rights for the usage of their artists music. The strategy sounds a bit similar to Jay-Z's Tidal music server. If this plan is actually true, will it work successfully for Apple?

For more information, stay tuned. Apple plans to release the info at the Worldwide Developer Conference on June 8th.
