Bruce Jenner is a former college football player who came into the public eye when he won the gold medal in the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Following his divorce to Kris Jenner, whom he was married to for 23 years, Jenner came out on April 24th at a 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer as a trans woman. Now we get to meet Caitlyn Jenner for the first time.
Caitlyn Jenner will me making an appearance on the July cover of Vanity Fair for the first time since completing the gender transition. Jenner sat down with Vanity Fair writer Buzz Bissinger to talk about her transformation.
On March 15, Jenner went through a 10 hour facial-feminization surgery, a procedure she believed would take 5 hours. She also revealed that she has not has the genital surgery.
His son Burt said:
I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce. I'm very much looking forward to that.His other son Brandon said he was taken aback by the transformation. He revealed that Caitlyn pulled her top up to reveal her new breasts. He said to Caitlyn:
Whoa, I'm still your son.Caitlyn met her daughter Cassandra for the first time when she hosted a small girls night with wine and food, where Jenner could dress how she wanted an feel natural in the presence of women. Cassandra says:
I was just nervous that I wouldn't feel comfortable. I was worried I wouldn't say the right things or act the right way or seem relaxed. We talked more than we ever have. We could just be girls together.Jenner tells Bissinger:
I'm not doing this to be interesting. I'm doing this to live.Jenner also discussed her nervousness about her 89 year old mother meeting Caitlyn for he first time.

I’d wonder how her reaction will be, but like most people, it’s all, all the emotions are in the anticipation of meeting you. Once they meet you and they spend five minutes with you, they go, Oh, O.K., I get it, big deal, let’s go on with life. And I think my mom will kind of be the same way, especially if Caitlyn keeps sending planes to pick her up and bring her down.We had a conversation the other day, we were talking about a lot of things, and, you know, she goes, “You know what, I think I can have a better relationship with Caitlyn than I can with Bruce,” because we’ve always had a little tension in our relationship throughout the years. [. . .] And so when she ends the conversation, she goes, “O.K., good-bye, Caitlyn.” It was very funny, very cute.
