6 Reasons The Drake & Future Project Might Be Real

For over a week the internet has been buzzing about a potential musical project from Future and Drake. We all know the two are close music homies that have a few hot tracks together. The streets have been asking for a joint project from the two artist for quite some time and they may get what they've asked for. Attempting to keep this project, underwraps the new generation of internet inspectors have gathered up and released some things that make us believe that there is a small percentage this project could be true. Drake has been dropping subliminal hints as well through his Instagram, so suspicion is at an all time high.

Despite Meek Mill speaking on his close relationship with Future in the past, Future has seemed to remain very neutral in the Dreamchaser/OVO rap beef. Meek has also mentioned that he and Future were working towards putting out a joint project together, but if rumors are true, Drake may have beaten him to it.

Future was featured this year in Drake's 6th Annual OVO Fest in Toronto during the height of the Meek Mill beef. Drake is the only artist featured on Future's newest album Dirty Sprite 2, an album he wanted to put out without any features. Nonetheless, the two have been supporting each other heavy as music artist do so its very easy to overlook when they're pulling a fast one on us. The last time Drake dropped a sort of surprising project on the world this year, it went platinum so this could be big for both artist.

We broke down 6 reasons the OVO/Freeband Gang joint project might be true:

1. A cover art photo began circulating the internet with word that a mixtape was coming very soon. The belief from fans seeing this was 50/50.  The owl for OVO (Drake) and the purple drippings for Freeband Gang (Future, DS2) could be very believable to some. OVO generally uses a very specific owl for branding and the owl photoed below isn't it.

2. Drake posted an Instagram photo of a racket paddle with the same font from his mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late. The paddle reads "Put It All In A Plastic Bag," and the photo captions "Jim Joe 2015." For those of you who are unaware of Jim Joe, he is an artist that designed Drake's latest handwritten mixtape cover. He's also been said to have drawn Drake's tattoos. "Put It All In A Plastic Bag'' could be the season major project with Drake for Jim Joe.

3. An [un]official production credit sheet was released over the weekend via social media with producers, tracklist, title and general information including the artist of the project.

4. Drake returned to Instagram Tuesday evening to post a photo of himself, interestingly the caption of the photo reads "FBGOVO."

5. A website PutItAllInAPlasticBag.com has been released. No word from who, but it features nothing more than Drake, Future, and a countdown. If all is true, we'll have their new project by Friday.

6. As his social media mentions blow up around the clock, Future took to his Instagram Wednesday afternoon to post a photo of him and Drake, appearing the studio.
