Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar Reign BET #HipHopAward Nominations

The 2015 is on its way back to Atlanta for another year of a celebration of Hip-Hop music and culture. Snoop Dogg aka Uncle Snoop is taking the stage for the third consecutive time as the BET Hip-Hop Awards host. For the 10th year, BET Hip-Hop will be returning to Atlanta, fusing a variety of Hip-Hop acts and its classic Sprite cyphers. This year Hip-Hop's biggest mainstream artist will reign the show's nominations. Drake leads the 2015 categories with a big 12 nominations, followed by Big Sean with 10 nominations. Nicki Minaj with 9 nominations is the next runner up and wrapping up the leading nominations is J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar with 8 nominations.

This year's show should be interesting as Hip-Hop has had a year full of major happenings, especially in 2015 alone. From the looks of this year's nominations, it appears the Hip-Hop Awards is taking a fresh turn and we're here for it. Although there are several other deserving emerging talented Hip-Hop artist we could list being nominated to diversify the categories, we're very pleased to see great representation of Hip-Hop included in this year's categories.

The BET Hip-Hop Awards will tape in Atlanta, GA October 9th at the Atlanta Civic Center. The awards will air on BET Tuesday, October 13th at 8pm. See the full nomination list below. Will you be tuned in?
