To whom much is given, much is required. Atlanta's own Future and Mike Will have been gifted with great opportunities to impact tons of lives through their music. Both Mike Will and Future are responsible for each others success, establishing themselves early in mainstream as a dynamic producer-artist duo. Although their careers have taken very distinct solo paths within the last year, the brotherhood still stands. The two joined forces to give back to the community they came from through their foundations Making Wishes Matter and Free Wishes.
"An Evening To Remember" took place November 21st at East Lake Family YMCA. The event celebrated a number of senior citizens in the community with a sit down banquet-like Thanksgiving meal. Both Mike Will and Future's mothers and grandmothers were amongst the attendees of the night. Along with a Thanksgiving dinner provided by each foundation and the sponsors, the seniors enjoyed a night of photobooth fun, dancing and fellowship with Future and Mike Will. Pretty sure many of the elders aren't familiar with their music specifically, but they enjoyed their kind gestures.
Each household was also gifted with a turkey and greens for their Thanksgiving Day meal. Black Celebrity Giving, Radio One, WalMart, Atlanta Music Project and Community Compliation were the official sponsors of the event. Councilman Kwanza Hall presented the fellas with a plaque for their contributions to giving back to the Atlanta community. Great seeing these brothers doing a good thing! See more photos below:
