Houston-based artist Keith Jacobs is 'tipping' his way into music's forefront with the release of his EP Still Tippin. The 14-track compilation bears Jacobs' transparency of love, lust, loyalty, respect and manhood. Still Tippin resonates a contrast between Houston's unique dirty-south trap, chopped & screwed beats with a sensual modern R&B twist. The EP's title track flawlessly samples fellow Houstonian Mike Jones' 2005 prime "Still Tippin." The collection also tributes Keith Jacobs love for the 90's with notable classic samples.
Still Tippin, the first major release from Jacobs is one he holds dear. The journey to fully committing to music has been a tug of war for years, finally allowing his artistry to win. Although Keith Jacobs doesn't describe Still Tippin solely as a R&B body of work, the singer's pulling of contemporary/alternative R&B and southern Hip-Hop allows the project to stand on its own. Accompanying the release of his project, Jacobs dropped a 8-minute visual for "Still Tippin" and "Shame On You," taking us on a ride through Houston and his unhappy home within it.
Still Tippin is currently available across music streaming services including Spotify, Tidal and can be purchased on iTunes. View the "Still Tippin/Shame" visual below.
