ATL's own André Benjamin and Antawn Patton also known as André 3000 & Big Boi are one of the biggest rap duos in Hip Hop. Since they've reunited with their first performance together in years at Coachella, the two haven't slowed down yet. The duo better known as OutKast are set to perform at over 40 concerts and festivals around the country this year in celebration of 20 years in the business.
Of all the concerts and music festivals OutKast were set to perform at this year, their hometown of Atlanta, GA was not on the itinerary. In April, OutKast performed at the CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival in Kingston Down, GA in front of a diverse group of thousands of fans. Even though ATL was heavy at OutKast's performance it's nothing like performing on your actual stomping grounds.
OutKast has been apart of putting Atlanta on the map as one of the major cities in music since the early 90's. The group has teamed up with Rival Entertainment and The Bowery Presents: South for "OutKast At Last" concert at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta, September 27th. The concert is set to have special guest to accompany the legendary group. General admission tickets are $55 and sold on a first come first served basis so purchase your tickets soon! As for now, you can catch OutKast headlining the BET Experience concert series in LA next weekend.
**UPDATE: Yesterday Outkast tickets went on sale at 10am for their originally scheduled #ATLast concert on September 27th. Well by 11 o'clock, those tickets were GONE! Fans were going crazy how fast tickets sold out so a second show was added and scheduled for September 26th. Tickets went on sale at 2pm yesterday and guess what, SOLD OUT!
Fans still weren't happy. So this may be your #ATLast chance to get to see Outkast live in Atlanta, GA September 28th! Tickets go on sale at 8pm tonight so get your cards ready and sit by the computer to make your purchase.
