Since coming on the scene early last year, August Alsina has emerged as one of Hip-Hop/R&B's newest heartthrobs. Although some questioned how he's able to headline his own tour with less than a year of reaching radio success with his single "I Luv This," August has proven that a non-stop grind and commitment to sharing his testimony with the world will get you far. The artist brought everyone out to his show from his celebrity friends, family, music execs, and a sold out audience of fans to support the "Youngin" in his second home that helped him reach his current success.
Joining forces with fellow Def Jam label mate, August Alsina partnered with Teyana Taylor to open up the show, setting an excited yet sexy tone for the rest of the evening. Teyana gave a high-energized dance-filled set, performing some of her past popular songs and her newest single "Maybe." She heated up the stage, giving a few lucky male audience members and rapper Kirko Bangz a lap dance.
Once August Alsina hit the stage, complete pandimoum took over the room. If you've ever been to a Lil Bow Wow or Chris Brown concert, then you understand. Performing hits from his debut album Testimony and his claim to fame mixtape The Product 2, August poured his soul into his fans for an hour and a half with his live band & DJ "Squad." He opened his performance rocking a similar outfit to his 2014 BET Awards performance. Throughout the night, August sported several pieces from the clothing line "Roper" styled by Renaldo Nehemiah. To help him turn the crowd all the way up, Seyvn Streeter, 2 Chainz, and Yo Gotti popped in on the show, all hitting the stage at once for the show finale.
As the "Testimony Live Tour" comes to a close later this month, August Alsina won't have much time to vacation. He announced he will going right back on the road joining Usher's "The UR Experience" in November. See more pics from the show below:
