[Watch] "Addicted" Movie Review

Books being turned into movies is a huge deal and the Queen of Erotica has outdone herself with Addicted. Zane's book, Addicted was released in 2002 and was turned into a movie, which released October 10. Addicted has finished at number 7 and scored an estimate of $7.6 million during its first weekend.

Successful businesswoman Zoe Reynard (Sharon Leal) seems to have a charmed life. She has a wonderful, loving husband (Boris Kodjoe), two beautiful children and a thriving career. However, as perfect as her life might look to other people, Zoe is secretly tormented by nymphomania. Her need for constant sexual gratification leads her into a secretive existence -- one that, ultimately, may put her family, career and life on the line

The movie features an all star cast with Sharon Leal as Zoe Reynolds and Boris Kodjoe as Jason Reynolds. Tasha Smith joins her Why Did I Get Married? co-star as Dr. Marcella. The cast also features Tyson Beckford, Kat Graham, and William Levy. Billie Woodruff, director of all 7 seasons of the hit TV show, The Game, has returned as the director of Addicted.

This movie is geared toward women over the age of 25 because of the supply of the amazing men that are a part of the cast and also because of the films sexual content. From this movie the audience can learn that not all relationships are perfect. It takes a lot of strength and hard work to keep the ones you love.

"The best scene is when she tried to get the guys together. The part I didn't like was the ending. It seemed like Zane was trying to speed up & finish it. It's like she packed so much into the beginning that the ending had a rushed feel to it.” Matthew Williams, a movie goer stated.

The movie may have been missing a few key elements that were in the book, but overall the movie was amazing. The actors brought life to Zane’s characters and the cinematography was absolutely wonderful. Overall, the movie should receive a 9 out 10.
