David Letterman Says "Good-Bye" to Late Night Television

“Alright, that’s pretty much all I got. The only thing I have left to do, for the last time, on a television program—thank you, and goodnight.” Late Show with David Letterman is a late-night talk show hosted by David Letterman on CBS. The show debuted on August 30, 1993, and was produced by Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants Incorporated and CBS Television Studios. In 2002, Late Show with David Letterman was ranked number 7 on TV Guide‍ 's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. In 2014, Letterman announced his retirement and the final episode of Late Show aired on May 20, 2015.

The final show opened with a few presidents, such as George Bush and Barack Obama speaking. President Obama finishes the spiel saying, "Our long national nightmare is over. Letterman is retiring."

During the final "Top Ten", Dave was joined by ten celebrities who have previously joined Dave on the show.  Alec Baldwin, Chris Rock, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bill Murray and many others, joined the show to share their "Top Ten Things I've Always Wanted to Say to Dave." The Foo Fighters stopped by the show and performed "Everlong", which played when Letterman first returned after having heart surgery in 2000. Check out The Foo Fighters final performance on Late Show With David Letterman below.
